How to Pick the Right Size and Fit
Picking size for “God of War inspired t-shirts” can be tricky because print-on-demand brands use different base shirts. Here's my method:
1. Measure a shirt you own that fits perfectly. Compare chest width and length to the size chart. Do not rely on S/M/L alone.
2. Check the weight: Most POD shirts are 4.5 oz (light) to 6 oz (heavy). For large prints, 5.5 oz or higher prevents the fabric from stretching the design.
3. Consider the fit: Classic fit (loose) is standard. If you prefer a tailored look, size down. If you want extra room, size up.
4. Watch for preshrunk cotton: 100% combed ring-spun cotton shrinks about 3-5% on first wash. Factor that in.
I once ordered a size M of a Kratos design and it fit like a tent. I checked the chart after - my chest measurement was between M and L. I should have sized down. Now I always keep a sizing reference handy.
Fabric Matters
A tri-blend (50% polyester, 25% cotton, 25% rayon) feels softer and drapes better, but prints on dark colors can fade faster because polyester doesn't hold dye as well. For longevity, 100% cotton in a dark shade with a white underbase print is your best bet. Avoid 50/50 blends for detailed designs - the print can crack where the fabric stretches.
